Enroll in SNACS Preschool Program!
SNACS Preschool is a program Achievers provides. Achievers is a private, non-profit 501 c3 corporation in Nevada, partnering with Sierra Nevada Academy Charter School. It is a community service agency that provides wrap-around education services to the SNACS community and beyond. The preschool operated by Achievers is open year-round from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing quality care for children and their families.
Infant/Young Toddler Program
Services for children enrolled in the infant/toddler room (Miss Brenda) between 9 and 36 months can attend the program between 7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless special arrangements are made in advance. Additional costs may incur.
Toddler Program
Other children ages 3 years old to those enrolled in kindergarten may attend between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. These hours are for family convenience. However, it is not developmentally appropriate for children to attend all day. The general guideline is a half-hour beyond a normal workday. We do not consistently permit children in the preschool or childcare setting for 12 hours a day. They need time and support in the family setting.
Free Preschool Grant Enrollment
SNACS received the Pre-K grant to provide tuition-free, high-quality early childhood education services for qualifying families who want to enroll at SNACS. The SNACS Pre-K grant promotes social, emotional, and academic development for our youngest students, with support from their families. Due to the high demand for these programs, we require all our available spaces to be filled with regularly attending, active participants.
All families enrolled in the Pre-K program are required to attend:
- Family Orientation
- Parent and Teacher Conferences 3 times per year
- Read with your child and report reading time
The Pre-K grant program requires family engagement activities in program workshops and family events. Families are expected to attend at least four events per year. Events include:

- Kindergarten Transition
- Conscious Discipline
Family Engagement Events
- Family literacy nights
- Count on books math night

The Pre-K grant program serves preschool-age students for children ages 3 or 4 by August 1st. The Pre-K Grant Program is free for qualified families based on two identified state priorities.
